A november 26-27-én tartott angol nyelvű konferencián, amelyet Mongólia magyarországi nagykövete nyitott meg összesen 21 előadást hallgattunk meg, melyeket 11 különböző országból származó kutató tartott. A konferenciába rövidebb-hosszabb időre bekapcsolódó résztvevők száma jóval száz fölött volt. A kiváló előadások mellett a hozzászólások és kérdések nagy száma is azt tükrözte, hogy a konferencia témája, a mongolok 13. századi hadjáratainak közép-európai hatása sokak kíváncsiságát felkeltette.
