Dorottya Uhrin
Dorottya Uhrin is currently a research fellow at Eötvös Loránd University, Medieval History Department. She wrote her PhD dissertation about the cult of the virgines capitales in medieval Hungary and defended it in 2019. She is the secretary of the Hungarian Association of Hagiographical Studies. Previously, she obtained a MA degree in Medieval Studies at CEU and a MA degree in Medieval History (2014) at ELTE, as well as two BA degrees in History and Religious Studies (2011); and Eastern Languages and Cultures with Mongolian language and Buddhism specialization (2013) at ELTE. She spent half year in Mongolia to study Mongolian language and culture. Her specific interests are the ordeals, the cult of saints, the Franciscan missions to East, Tartar invasion. Besides her publications she frequently organizes and attends at national and international conferences and edits books.
